The chemicals have contaminated the groundwater in the neighborhood.
Saunders held a press conference at Azalea Park, 1600 72nd St. North in St. Petersburg on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 3:00pm. Copies of the lawsuit were available at the press conference and can be downloaded here.

Three States Considering "Windows" for Sexual Abuse Victims
Colorado, Wisconsin, and Maryland are the latest states considering legislation that would allow victims of sexual abuse to confront their abusers in civil court. The state legislatures are among a growing trend across the country to open up statutes of limitations for childhood sexual abuse victims who seek redress in the courts for their abuse.
The Catholic Conferences have lobbied hard to kill such measures and have been successful previously in both Colorado and Maryland. However, there is strong evidence that such statutes of limitations present an unfair barrier for victims of sexual abuse. Many childhood victims of sexual abuse bury the trauma long into adulthood and only begin to come to terms with the abuse when they are much older. Under present law, most victims are denied the right to seek justice from their abusers and the institutions that allowed the abuse to continue.
