Joseph H. Saunders
Joseph H. Saunders founded the firm in 1987 after serving six years as counsel for Pinellas County Florida. Attorney Saunders is admitted to practice law in California and Florida. Saunders is among fewer than 1% of attorneys in Florida who are Board Certified as a Civil Trial Lawyer by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization.

Margaret Walker retired from the practice of law in 2021 after 40 years of excellent work for individuals and families who suffered injury, loss of life, or abuse that was the fault of others. We have been privileged to have her as part of our team since 1994.

Peter Schweitzer

Peter Schweitzer serves as a consultant and survivor advocate for the law firm of Saunders & Walker. He has been working with Attorney Joe Saunders for nearly two decades. He holds Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees.

As a former Catholic priest, he is intimately familiar with the operation and administration of the Catholic Church in such areas as parish life, canon law, and the structure of religious orders.

In addition to his work assisting abuse survivors, he has served as a media consultant as well as published articles for the Associated Press, the former Tampa Tribune and Tampa Bay Times.
