Operation Par, Inc. President, Board of Directors
Operation Par is a not for profit, charitable corporation that provides drug treatment, prevention, and mental health services in Central and Southern Florida. Par has residential drug treatment facilities, outpatient drug treatment and family counseling programs, court intervention programs and methadone clinics. It also provides educational drug prevention programs in the schools and community.
Alpha House of Pinellas County. 25 year Board member, past Board president Executive Committee Member
Alpha House of Pinellas County is a not for profit, charitable corporation that operates a residential facility for homeless pregnant women and minor girls in crisis. Women can reside at Alpha for up to two years to give birth and live with their babies to receive parenting training, schooling, and vocational training to prepare them to become self sufficient parents.

Member of the Tampa Bay Watch Advisory Board
Tampa Bay Watch is a not-for profit, charitable corporation engaged in protecting, preserving, and restoring the bay waters and wetlands of the Tampa Bay estuary. Bay Watch is active in restoring sea grasses, oyster bars, and other marine habitat in Tampa Bay. Bay Watch is also involved in marine research and education and operates educational summer camps for children. The large Bay Watch facility in Tierra Verde, Florida recently licensed the first new lighthouse to be certified in the USA in many years.
Northwest Youth Baseball Manager and Coach
Competitive Division 13-14 year old boys Dizzy Dean League Baseball. St. Petersburg, Florida
Coach Joe Saunders coached the 2008 Northwest St. Petersburg boys 14 year old allstar team to the National World Series Dizzy Dean League Championship. The team won the District 5 championship in St. Petersburg, Florida, the Florida State Championship in Pensacola and the National World Series Championship in Southhaven, Mississippi with a perfect record. The team was undefeated throughout the summer of 2008. The Northwest St. Petersburg Allstar Team beat the Georgia State Champions, the Rome, Georgia Mudcats to take the National Title. American Association for Justice PAC
AAJ PAC is AAJ’s Political Action Committee that helps fund the races of federal pro-civil justice candidates and incumbents. AAJ PAC is the only federal PAC dedicated to preserving the civil justice system. AAJ PAC supports candidates on both sides of the aisle and ranks as one of the top contributors to House and Senate candidates every election cycle.

The Arbor Day Foundation honors Saunders & Walker P.A. by planting 10 Long Leaf Pine Trees in the Blackwater River State Forest through a gift by Advocate Capital., Inc.
Saunders & Walker P.A. is a proud sponsor of the Tomkats Jazz Orchestra where Attorney Joseph Saunders plays the Guitar. Great job performing at the Treasure Island Blues Bash Guys!!! The Tomkats Jazz Orchestra is an 18 member band with some of Tampa Bay’s best jazz musicians playing swing standards, bebop, blues, and fusion.
For over 25 years the TomKats Jazz Orchestra has been entertaining jazz and swing fans throughout the west coast of Florida. The band plays jazz, blues, and jazz-rock fusion. With a full jazz orchestra horn section of 5 saxes, 4 trombones, and 4 trumpets, the band’s repertoire includes traditional swing arrangements from the great big bands such as Count Basie and Duke Ellington through the more progressive sounds of Maynard Ferguson, Buddy Rich, and Woody Herman and up to Steely Dan jazz rock and the modern big band fusion styles of Gordon Goodwin’s Phat Band including Brazilian and Cuban styles.
The band has male and female vocalists who perform with the band as well as guitar, keyboard, bass and drums. Many of the musical arrangements are original arrangements of jazz standards written by band members. Our most recent CD release: “Live at the Hideaway, 2013” contains examples of original arrangements, vocal performances, and improvised jazz solos in a variety of styles.
The TomKats Jazz Orchestra is a working big band, being in residence in locations throughout Pinellas County over the years. Currently the band performs every Monday night from 7:00 to 9:30 at the Blue Parrot Café on St. Pete Beach. The band is in its fifth year at the Blue Parrot. Before that the band was the Thursday night house band at the Bilmar Beach Resort on Treasure Island for over a decade.
In addition to our weekly performances, we play local festivals and events. The TomKats were the orchestra for Swingin’ the New Year at the St. Petersburg Coliseum this past New Year’s Eve and performed at the 2014 Treasure Island Blues Festival.
Saunders & Walker law firm sponsored this event for the 60th Birthday of the City of Treasure Island.
